Anchor Down was not born in a boardroom. It was born in waiting rooms, pharmacy lines and late-night phone calls, from a family that learned firsthand how much it takes to keep an aging parent safe at home.
Why I started Anchor Down.
"As the daughter of an aging parent and the spouse of someone whose parents are aging in place, I know exactly what families in this stage of life are carrying."
I never decided to become my family's care coordinator. When I realized my mom couldn't remember what she and her doctor had discussed, I knew it was time to start going to appointments with her. The rest followed, one piece at a time: medications management, analyzing insurance options, monitoring finances. I know how meaningful that work is, and I know how heavy it gets when it lands on top of everything else. That's why I started Anchor Down.
After more than 30 years in professional services, transforming teams, building processes and bringing clarity to complicated organizations, I realized those are exactly the skills families need when care gets complicated. Anchor Down puts those skills to work for you.
The values behind this company came from two men I love deeply, my dad and my father-in-law:

Allison Kowalchik
Allison spent 30 years at a national professional services firm. She started as an administrative assistant and rose to Managing Director, eventually leading a team of more than 800 people across four countries. Now she brings that same organization, follow-through and heart for helping others to every family she serves.
Mike Kowalchik
Mike brings more than 20 years of finance leadership. He gives clear numbers and honest answers. He is also a builder at heart, automating processes and putting smarter systems in place so work gets simpler. At Anchor Down, he keeps the business side running smoothly so our care managers' time stays with families.
